helllooooo blogger

You know it's been waaaaay too long between posts when you have officially forgotten your blogger username. Not just the password, but the USERNAME.

This is bad.

I honestly think that it's just New York getting under my skin - making me feel like I don't have a spare moment to do anything other than scramble aimlessly from one place to the next. I don't take pictures anymore. I barely ever draw (something I'm working on). And I most definitely don't write in this space.

And that has to change.

I've been feeling like I've been floundering all over the map for the past 6 months. Worrying about my 'career'. Worrying about the job that is turning into a 'career' when I don't want it to be one. Worrying about relationships. And life. And what to do next. And everything.

Just thinking too much about all sorts of stuff other than the fact that I'm living in New York. New York. This place is fantastic, and I've been letting myself forget that.

So tonight, inspired by the many hours of Sex in the City that I've been watching lately (I'm poor and my roommate owns the entire series on DVD), I took myself on a date.

I wandered down to a new part of Brooklyn (Clinton Hill), ate a falafel, and took in a crazy puppet band. And damn, it was weird. But also good.

I'm going to make a more dedicated effort to track my progress around New York in this space. Because anything can happen in this city, and everything does.

I just haven't been writing about it.
